Jesse Smits first picked up a guitar at the age of 6, a birthday gift from his father, who was a musician in his own day and who was the role model, that molded the style of music Jesse would write. Jesse learned to play many different styles of music on the guitar, from classical to hard Rock And Roll. By the time Jesse was 14, he was composing and performing his songs with his band he had created. Jesse's band won first place in several "Battle Of The Bands' competitions, which all featured his own original written musical compositions. At age 15, Jesse played several of his popular original "Rock And Roll" songs to crowds at the arena in Green Bay, Wisconsin. After playing many contracted concerts, Jesse had decided to elevate his career and try the solo route. While doing this on his own, he developed his composing and recording skills. And at age 17, feeling his talents and experienced had grown, he went into the recording studio and created an album from his efforts known as: "Black And White." He is currently working on his second album: "Fade To Color," which will be available early Spring 2009.
